Hiring Decision
Only one person can get an available job, so if you don't receive a job offer this time, stay positive. We keep your resume in our database and consider you for similar positions — or even other positions — that may be a better fit for you.
If you receive a job offer, remember the following:
- It's OK to take some time to think about it and discuss the offer with your significant other, family members or friends. We want you to consider your options now rather than change your mind later. Just be sure to make your decision in the time frame you provide.
- After you accept an offer, expect to hear from your manager between the offer date and your actual start date. We're just as excited as you are, so we want to make sure you're ready for your first day by discussing your start date and time, where to go when you arrive, and what types of clothing are acceptable to wear.
- Our new hire orientation can help ease your first-day jitters by acclimating you with your surroundings and giving you an in-depth look at your new position. Plus, you can immediately begin learning about how Progressive works with information about our history, structure and strategies.
If you don't receive a job offer:
- Ask for feedback about your interview to help you determine what to work on for future interviews. If you don't understand the feedback, ask for clarification.
- Don't give up. It's not uncommon for people to be turned down for positions before they find the right fit.
